NYC: PETE LEVIN "IRIDIUM LIVE CD RELEASE" CELEBRATING GIL EVANS
CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121 - ) presents the Pete Levin All Stars celebrating Gil Evans on Wednesday, February 27th and Friday through Sunday, March 1st through 3rd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. The band features Pete Levin - organ, Lenny White - drums, Lew Soloff - trumpet, Dave Stryker - guitar, Alex Foster - saxophone, Howard Johnson - tuba, baritone saxophone and John Clark - french horn. In a diverse music career spanning several decades, keyboardist/ arranger Pete Levin has performed and recorded with hundreds of Jazz and Pop artists - including Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Lenny White, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Robbie Robertson and John Scofield - receiving critical accolades for his work during a 15 year association with the legendary Gil Evans, and his 8 year stint with jazz icon Jimmy Giuffre. There is a $25 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
