CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
Judy Gold and Eddie Sarfaty pay tribute to their dear friend, groundbreaking comedian Bob Smith at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:30 pm. The show is a benefit to raise funds for three important organizations working on behalf of people with ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. Emmy Award-winning comedian Judy Gold, has appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Dr. Oz Show, The Tonight Show, and from 1999 to 2009, was the host of HBO's At the Multiplex with Judy Gold. Her TV specials include Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd Stands Up and Wisecrack, a half hour special for Logo. Judy's HBO special received a Cable Ace Award and Judy was nominated for an Outer Critcs Circle Award for her solo show, The Judy Show - My Life as a Sitcom and a Drama Desk Award for her show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother. Eddie Sarfaty is a stand-up comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, The Today Show, The Joy Behar Show, Logo's Wisecrack and is a subject of the documentary, Laughing Matters. He is the author of Mental: Funny in the Head, a collection of humorous essays. There is a $50-$100 cover cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
