NYC: LOLA REGENTHAL AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jazz vocalist/drummer Lola Regenthal will perform on Saturday, September 1st at 7:00 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Born in Kalmar, Sweden and raised in an artistic home in Rapplinge on the island Oland, Lola began playing drums at the age of 10, soon performing with various jazz bands and ensembles in the Kalmar/)land area. She developed her passion for singing at the music high school in Oskarshamn/Sweden while the drums kept beating as the perfect instrument for creating Lola's very strong rhythmical voice. She was awarded the Didrik Af Wuhlberg's Jazz Scholarship and won a talent act where she sang a soul cover and accompanied herself on congas. This then took her to perform at the famous jazz club "Nalen" in Stockholm. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
