L.A.: MICHELE BROURMAN IN "MY FAVORITE YEAR"
Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Cabaret Concert Series continues on August 26th at 2:00 pm at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER THEATRE (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) with singer/ songwriter and winner of the Johnny Mercer Songwriting Award, Michele Brourman. Ms. Brourman has written numerous contemporary standards that have been recorded by Michael Feinstein, Olivia Newton-John, Cleo Laine, Margaret Whiting, Rita Coolidge, Donny Osmond, and Sheena Easton. For the cabaret-set, her songs have been recorded by and performed by some of the best in that genre including Heather MaCrae, Karen Mason, Sharon McKnight, Sally Mayes, Billy Stritch, and her frequent collaborator Amanda McBroom. For "My Favorite Year", Michele Brourman will be joined by singer Pat Whiteman. Naturally, Michele will take on the accompanist duties since they are her songs after all, but she does sing and we'll be hearing her as well as Pat. There is a $10 cover.
