NYC: RODRIGUEZ & RODRIGUEZ LIVE AT DON'T TELL MAMA
Singer German Rodriguez came to NYC from Monterrey, Mexico and harpist Jose Luis Rodriguez arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico. German was a young student in Mexico singing at his every opportunity. Jose Luis in Puerto Rico had already begun his professional career, which he then transferred to the States. Although these two fast friends work mostly as solo artists, a few times each season they get together for a duo show. One of those times is Friday, May 18th at 7:30 pm at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788). They will present an evening of music from Broadway, American Standards and some Spanish favorites, including great composers like Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, and Stephen Sondheim. Rodriguez & Rodriguez are not related except by their wonderful harmonies and their talent! There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
