NYC: WENDY KURTZMAN SINGS MUSIC FROM "JUST FOR A THRILL"
L.A. songbird Wendy Kurtzman is making her album debut this spring with "Just For A Thrill", a collection of favorite songs - many by Cy Coleman - that weave a story of her recent life. A life that has included a MAJOR Hollywood career as a Feature and TV Casting Director. Wendy and musical director, Rick Jensen (leading a trio), will celebrate the upcoming release at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for one show only on Wednesday, April 25th at 9:30 pm. Delta Airlines is currently featuring her track, "Come Summer" on their airplane flight music system. Recorded in New York City, "Just for a Thrill" is a collaboration with many notable musicians including Jensen, Christopher Marlowe, Peter Calo, Jack Bashkow, Dan Gross and Tom Hubbard. The disc features classic and contemporary tunes from favorites like Cy Coleman, Billy Joel and Joni Mitchell among others. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
