The Sugartone Brass Band presents their latest album "Fourth Man Down" atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) pm Friday, April 6th at 9:30 pm. Fourth Man Down sets the new standard for New York Brass Bands. Rooted in the New Orleans Tradition, these tracks are all original creations that will get you moving on the dance floor with its second line beats and thick brass harmonies. For almost a decade, the SUGARTONE BRASS BAND has been the funkiest, hand-clappin'-est, booty-shakin'-est brass band on the circuit. Featuring some of the baddest musicians walking God's green Earth, the band released its first album, "Live in Brooklyn," in 2007. Their latest album, "Fourth Man Down," is out now. They have appeared on MTV's "Making the Band," the James Beard Awards Show, the New York Burlesque Festival and on several tours across the United States, terrorizing concert halls, watering holes and every kind of venue imaginable. Their heavyweight groove and incendiary sound has floored audiences. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
