NYC: MARK NADLER PREMIERES "CRAZY 1961" AT BEECHMAN
International cabaret star Mark Nadler includes 61 songs and 61 newsworthy events in his new show, "Crazy 1961," a celebration of the year of his birth atTHE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances on Thursdays, December 1st & 8th at 7:00 pm and Sundays, December 11th & 18th at 1:00 pm. Nadler, premiered the show in June at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia (where he has headlined for four seasons), mixes scholarship and showmanship in this show. Backed by Scott Johnson on guitar, Mark Lopeman on reeds, Robert Sabin on bass, and Sherrie Maricle on drums, Nadler will include songs by written and/or performed in 1961 by Neil Sedaka, Elvis Presley, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, Johnny Mercer, Henry Mancini, Noel Coward and Mr. Ed. There is a $15 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
