NYC: LAUREN FOX WITH "THE SONGS OF JONI MITCHELL & LEONARD COHEN"
Lauren Fox brings her show "Love, Lust, Fear & Freedom: The Songs of Joni Mitchell & Leonard Cohen" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 pm. She will be joined on stage by her band, Jon Weber - musical direction/piano, Joe Sporn - guitar, Ritt Henn - bass and Tanya Holt - Backup Vocals. Lauren Fox is a New York City born-and-raised actress, singer, writer and restaurateur. Last January, Lauren was in the off-Broadway show Hillbilly Women. Her performance as Appalachian factory worker, Sharleen, won critical praise from The New York Times. She had a five show run of her debut cabaret show, Here's To Love, at the Metropolitan Room, last winter. Her screenplay, Atlas Of The Soul, is in development with Lauren set to play the lead role, under the direction of Raul Esparza. This fall, Lauren will try her hand at directing a short film, In God's Fields, based on the short story by her father, Ray Errol Fox. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
