S.F.: BLUES IN THE NIGHT: THE TOM SHAW TRIO & SHEELAGH MURPHY
After her sold out performance of "For The Boys" in July, chanteuse Sheelagh Murphy will join the The Tom Shaw Trio for an evening of Blues at MARTUNI'S(4 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-241-0205) on Saturday, October 29th at 7:00 pm. Ms. Murphy is a jazz chanteuse and session singer. She won the 2010 Best Female Crooner contest (within the Cabaret Showcase Showdown series). Her debut album "I'll Take You Dreaming" is currently for sale on itunes and cdbaby.com. She has performed at numerous cabaret and jazz clubs around the Bay Area, including the Rrazz Room, the Plush Room and Martuni's. With a style most reminiscent of Rosemary Clooney, Ms. Murphy is definitely of the "purrrrring" variety of cabaret singers. There is a $7 cover.
