NYC: COLLEEN MCHUGH SINGS "MORE SONGS OF SELF-DELUSION"
BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) is proud to announce that Colleen McHugh will be making her Birdland debut on Monday, October 24th at 7:00 pm as part of The Broadway at Birdland concert series. Award-winning NYC cabaret favorite (and Second City alum) Colleen McHugh brings her trademark vocals and magical musical improvisation to this hilarious and heartbreaking collection of songs for the terminally hopeful/truly hopeless. There will be songs by Amanda McBroom, Jerry Herman, John Bucchino, Harold Arlen, Randy Newman and many more. Jody Shelton is musical director/pianist, and Matt Munisteri will be on guitar. Colleen McHugh is a 2011 Bistro Award winner, 2011 Nightlife Award finalist and 2011 MAC Award nominee. Her award-winning Calendar Girl cabaret series at THE DUPLEX has produced a new show in NYC every month for three years, with subjects ranging from Cole Porter's French-themed songs to a musical exploration of the color green. There is a $25 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
