NYC: MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE OF LOVE WITH CONKLIN & DIPINTO
An evening of duets, "Maybe It's Because of Love", featuring Mary Foster Conklin and John DiPinto will be presented at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Mondays, October 17th & 24th at 7:30 pm. The duo will be joined by Tony Romano on guitar and Skip Ward on bass. John DiPinto and Mary Foster Conklin have appeared onstage together in various guises through the years. They began to experiment with vocal duets last Spring, first at the Caffe Vivaldi and later during the Summer on the fire escape above Highline Park with the Renegade Cabaret. John will play accordion when the mood strikes him. They'll be doing some cool arrangements of the Beatles, the Foo Fighters, Alec Wilder & Fran Landesman, the Bobs, Smokey Robinson and more. Call for cover/minimum information.
