The song lists inclues humorous New York songs by Murray Grand, Kander & Ebb, Sue Matsuki, to mention just a few. Joan was presented at the Any Wednesday series at Barnes and Noble, Lincoln Center. She has understudied some of the theater's healthiest women, and was featured with her late husband Hal Blankenship as Burt and Lizzie in the award-winning film "The Savages." Other films in which Joan has been featured are Disney's "Enchanted," "The Producers," and "Approaching Union Square." She appeared on Broadway in "Much Ado about Nothing" and "Bajour" and off-Broadway in "The George M. Cohan Revue" and "Yankee Doodle Boy." Mary Liz McNamara and Ritt Henn will present TAKE THAT!, a set of their original music, written both individually and in tandem, at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Wednesdays, October 26th & November 2nd, both shows at 7:00 pm. Each singer/ songwriter is known for tunes that run the gamut from uproarious to wry to heartfelt. Ms. McNamara, an impish sprite, will be playing the piano and maraca; Mr. Henn, a tall drink of water, will man the bass and ukulele. Both will also sing. Mary Liz McNamara is a songwriter and performer who's written music and lyrics for the new musical, "The Good Girl." She won the 2011 Harrington Award for Creative Excellence from BMI, as well as a pair of MAC Awards for her songs "Bacon" and "Christmas In Michigan," each iconically rendered by Sharon McNight. Her CD, "Unhinged," is an understated gem. Ritt Henn accompanies a boatload of cabaret singers, most recently Emily Bergl for her sold-out run at THE ALGONQUIN OAK ROOM. As a solo artist, he's garnered both a MAC and Bistro Award, released three CDs of original music, and produced hundreds of episodes of the public access series, ManBassBoxTV. Starring songwriters Karen Benedetto, Cloud and Lana.
