Nancy Stearns will be returning to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, April 28th and Sunday, May 1st with her new show, "Weather or Not," sharing songs of the weather, seasons, and all the moods and colors that come with their changes. Music Director is Gregory Toroian and Helen Baldassare directs. Nancy has been performing annually in New York City cabaret rooms with her music director, Gregory Toroian, since 2001. A lawyer by day, Nancy first "found" cabaret as a student at Helen Baldassare's Cabaret Performance Workshop, for which Nancy now serves as Administrator. Nancy has recorded five of her shows with Gregory Toroian, on piano and David Finck, on bass: The Words of Women (2006), Sing Me A Song With Social Significance - Or Not (2006), With Rhyme, But For No Particular Reason (2007),This Moment (2008), and Yip Harburg: With Humor and Hope (2009). There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
