Kritzerland at the Gardenia presents You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile: The Music of Charles Strouse on Wednesday, May 4th starting at 9:00 pm at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444 ). Over the years, Bruce Kimmel has produced CDs featuring many Charles Strouse songs, including an entire album devoted to his music, Jason Graae's "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile." In this show, you'll hear a mix of the well-known and the really obscure - songs from such shows as Bye Bye Birdie, Golden Boy, Annie, Dance A Little Closer, Mayor, Rags, All American, and some shows you've never heard of. Special guest is Jason Graae. Others scheduled to appear (in alphabetical order): Dan Callaway (Broadway National Company: The Phantom of the Opera), Melissa Mitchell (Cinderella, in Cinderella, Cabrillo Music Theatre; CLO Seussical, Oklahoma), Kevin Symons (George in Rubicon's She Loves Me; off-Broadway: Wicked City Blues), Alet Taylor (Adelaide in Cabrillo's Guys & Dolls; Lick Me/Bite Me The Producers), Shannon Warne (National tour Camelot as Guenevere; currently in Having It All at NoHo Arts; ) and Melody Hollis (Broadway: Susan in Irving Berlin's White Christmas). Music Director will be Shelly Markham. As with all live entertainment events, performers are subject to change without notice. Kritzerland at The Gardenia shows happen on the first Wednesday of every month. Cover charge is $15 with a 2-drink minimum or dinner.
