NYC: METROJAM OPEN MIC: HOSTED BY JENNA ESPOSITO
METROJAM, the monthly cabaret/jazz open mic event held at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), will have its next show on Friday, April 1st at 10:00 pm featuring host, 2010 MAC AWARD NOMINEE Jenna Esposito. Accompaniment is provided by the MetroJam house band: John DiPinto on piano, Ritt Henn on bass, and Bobby Sher on drums. Each week, Jenna welcomes a special guest. The special guest for this month night is Jim VanSlyke who opens at FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - ) on Monday night with his SEDAKA show. Open-mic performers have a chance to perform with a full jazz band. If you're planning to perform, please arrive by 9:30 pm to sign up and be sure to bring two copies of your music (uptempo is recommended!).
