MW: KATIE MCGRATH IN "THE UNDERSIDE OF LOVE"
Katie McGrath will present her new show "The Underside of Love" at the KRANZBERG ART CENTER (501 North Grand Street, St. Louis, MO - 314-795-8778) on Friday & Saturday, April 1st & 2nd at 8:00 pm with Rick Jensen, Music Director. In the show, Ms. McGrath will present the music and musings on the ups and downs of grownup love, as seen by Stephen Sondheim, Judy Collins, Peter Gabriel, Cole Porter and Leon Redbone. Katie McGrath is an advertising executive in her day job, although you can find her around town singing with The Merge, her agency's rock cover band. Self-taught on the piano and guitar, Katie pays homage to the Great American Songbook, all the while embracing the influence of contemporary artists like Mary Chapin-Carpenter and Bonnie Raitt.
