MW: AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH MELISSA MANCHESTER
Grammy award winning singer/songwriter and pop music icon, Melissa Manchester makes her debut at THE CABARET AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB (121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN - 317-275-1169) on Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00 pm. Presenting an evening of new pieces and some of her classic hits like Midnight Blue, Don't Cry Out Loud, Through The Eyes of Love, and more, Melissa always delights audiences. Her singing and acting talents have been combined for starring roles in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Song and Dance, Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and as one of Bette Midler's famed back up singers. She studied songwriting from Paul Simon at New York University and made Academy Award history by becoming the first artist to have two nominated movie themes in a given year. Manchester's songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Sarah Vaughn, Johnny Mathis, Kenny Loggins, and Barbara Cook. Tickets are $55, $65, $75, plus a $12 food/drink minimum.
