Charlene Brooks is bringing her new show "Life Stinks!" .... and other things my mother taught me! to the THE SKOKIE THEATRE(7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, IL - 847-677-7761), following her several previous sold out performances, on Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00 pm. Charlene Brooks is a veteran of cabaret, jazz, theater, and country music. This show celebrates people we love, and who make us crazy, with Broadway, pop, and jazz classics. Meet the card-playing "aunts", Meyer the butcher, Sam the shoe-maker, and Mom, the funniest woman you'll ever meet (too bad she doesn't have a sense of humor)! These and other over-the-top characters of her family and friends are the inspiration for some of the funniest songs and stories you've ever heard. Charlene Brooks is bringing not just her voice and humor to the Skokie Theatre, but her heritage as well.
