"Broadway Sessions" is an evening of musical performances, games, comedy and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show takes place every Thursday evening at 11:00 pm at THE MIDTOWN THEATER AT HA! COMEDY CLUB (163 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-977-3884). It is hosted by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) and features composer/musical director Will Van Dyke on piano. This week, April 21st, the show is thrilled to welcome Carly Jibson, the cast of The Gay Bride of Frankenstein, F. Michael Haynie and Bertha Mason. Carly Jibson has starred on Broadway in Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad) and Cry Baby (Pepper). Billy Butler and his band the Monster Makers' pop/rock musical hit GayBride of Frankenstein will be performed in concert Sunday April 24th at Joe's Pub at 7:30 pm. Actor/Singer F. Michael Haynie has appeared Off-Broadway in We the People:America Rocks. Bertha Mason, the pie baking, musical theater loving, midwestern drag star, will be on hand to pass out homemade treats and test your musical savvy. The performances are followed by open mic that goes until 2:00 am. There is no cover charge for this event.
