NYC: AARON WEINSTEIN TO MAKE MET ROOM DEBUT
Violinist Aaron Weinstein makes his debut appearance at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 ) with performances on Wednesday, April 20th at 9:30 pm; Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00 pm; Wednesday, May 11th at 9:30 pm; and Monday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm. His show "Have Strings, Will Swing," combines genial wit and erudition with spell-binding musicianship. He will be backed by Tedd Firth on piano and Tom Hubbard on bass. This will be Weinstein's first major NYC cabaret run. A featured soloist, Weinstein has played at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Blue Note, Birdland and Wolftrap. The 2011 Nightlife Award winner has collaborated with such jazz luminaries as Les Paul, Scott Hamilton, Dave Frishberg, Annie Ross, Dick Hyman, Jessica Molaskey, and Bucky Pizzarelli. With John Pizzarelli, Weinstein recorded his newest release, "Blue Too." There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
