A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT
Paula Johns pays homage to the First Lady of Song, Lady Ella Fitzgerald, who is considered to be a notable interpreter of the Great American Songbook, on Saturday, March 19th at 8:30 pm at BOB EGAN'S NEW HOPE - SUPPER CLUB AND CABARET (6426 Lower York Road (Route 202), New Hope, PA - 215-862-5225). In Paula's new show you will hear music from the songbooks of Jerome Kern, George & Ira Gershwin, Rodgers & Hart, and yes, the most popular song that Ella herself wrote, "A Tisket, A Tasket" plus a lot of stories about her big band days on the road with Chick Webb, her "love" life, and the many accolades she's received throughout her vast career, and possibly learn a few things about Ella you never knew. Not only can Paula swing, she writes and arranges her own music, does impressions of various singers, a great actor and comedienne. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
