A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT
Linda Mironti's new cabaret show, "A Kiss From A Broad" has just been extended at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with additional performances on Fridays, March 18th & 25th at 7:00 pm. Ine the show, Linda explores life today from her eclectic repertoire including a sprinkling of selections from today's pop hits to Neapolitan songs. Linda Mironti's first voice teacher was her Grandmother Angelina, who taught her Italian folk songs the, joy of singing and how to make gnocchi. Linda followed her passion for music through college and to New York City. In the 80's she was called to Italy where she starred in TV shows, recordings and concert tours from Milan to Sicily. Ironically, for the 7 years she performed in Italy she sang mostly blues, jazz, rhythm and blues, and original pop material; she wrote lyrics for herself and for many other artists. It wasn't until her return to New York City in the mid 90's that she was able to include her favorite Italian songs in her performances at many cabaret venues including Danny's, The Duplex and Don't Tell Mama. The show is directed by Helen Baldassare with musical direction by Bobby Peaco with Robyn Lobe on percussion. There is an $18 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
