A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT
An evening of scintillating wit and melodies will be on tap beginning March 15th when Jessica Molaskey and Dave Frishberg join forces in their new show, "Do You Miss New York?" at THE ALGONQUIN OAK ROOM (59 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-419-9331). Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 pm with late shows on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 pm through April 2nd. The Broadway and award-winning cabaret and concert vocalist and the multiple Grammy-nominated jazz songwriter, pianist and vocalist will regale Oak Room audiences with "My Attorney Bernie," "Can't Take You No Where," "Long Daddy Green," "I Want to Be a Side Man," as well as selections from The New Yorkers, a musical about the legendary Algonquin Round Table. Jessica Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows, including A Man of No Importance, Parade, Dream, Tommy, Crazy for You, Les Miserables, City of Angels, Chess, Cats and the recent revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George at Studio 54. Long celebrated as an outstanding jazz pianist, Dave Frishberg has also established himself as an internationally recognized composer and lyricist as well as well as a popular solo performer. Four of his albums have won Grammy nominations for best jazz vocal. There is a $50 cover Monday through Thursday and for the late shows on Friday & Saturday. $60 cover for early shows on Friday & Saturday plus either a $30 food and beverage minimum or $60 prix fixe dinner.
