On Saturday, March 5th at 7:30 pm, ART/Word presents Lyrical Visions at the Wedeman Gallery in the YAMAWAKI ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTER AT LASELL COLLEGE (47 Myrtle Avenue, Newton, MA) . "ART/Word is an artists' collaborative which first came together in 1981. Each ART/Word event is an illustrated celebration of artwork specifically created for a chosen theme. This year's show, Lyrical Visions, uses song lyrics as a creative starting point - and has inspired a mix of illustration, photography and three dimensional art. Each piece is an original work of art displayed with the text of the song lyrics that inspired it. This year Fischer has invited singer Will McMillan and pianist Doug Hammer to craft a set of music inspired by color and art. Admission is free. A full schedule of the ART/Word event can be found athttp://www.digitalfisch.com/lyricalvisons/lyricalvisions
