TOR: 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE JUNO AWARDS CELEBRATED
On Sunday, February 27th at 8:00 pm, a remarkable jazz ensemble will be performing at Toronto's The LULA LOUNGE (1585 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario, CAN - TKTS: 416-588-0307 in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Juno Awards (CARAS). The All-Star band will be comprised of eight Canadian jazz icons who, throughout their prestigious international careers, are also multiple JUNO Winners - Guido Basso, Jane Bunnett, Terry Clarke, Hilario Duran, Pat LaBarbera, Don Thompson, Richard Underhill and Dave Young. The evening will be hosted by noted award-winning producer, arranger, Artistic Director, broadcaster and pianist, Bill King. The occasion promises to be a full-out blowing session, with each member bringing original music to the collective. In addition, Basso, Bunnett, Clarke, Thompson and Young have all achieved Canada's highest civilian honor - awarded for international excellence in the arts - the Order of Canada. In keeping with the JUNO organization's (CARAS) continued support of the Canadian music industry and their dedication to the perpetuation of music as an artistic, educational and necessary cultural component, all profits will be donated to MusiCounts .
