NYC: LINDA LAVIN RETURNS TO BIRDLAND WITH NEW SHOW AND CD
Jim Caruso presents Broadway and television star Linda Lavin in "Possibilities," a concert celebrating her new CD of the same name at BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, February 21st at 7:00 pm, as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series, celebrating performers and composers from the Great White Way. Linda Lavin is currently starring in Other Desert Cities at Lincoln Center. Accompanying Linda will be Billy Stritch on piano, Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, John Brown on bass, Aaron Weinstein on violin and Steve Bakunas on drums. "Possibilities" is the album of jazz standards Linda has always wanted to make. The recording finds Lavin singing and swinging tunes like "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars," "Two For The Road," "Hey, Look Me Over," and her signature song from It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman, "You've Got Possibilities." There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
