NYC: DAVE FRANK AT THE IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB
SCOBAR ENTERTAINMENT presents Dave Frank this Sunday, January 30th at 5:30 pm at IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121 - ). Dave Frank is one of the busiest solo jazz pianists and music educators on the scene today. He was an Associate Professor of Piano at Berklee College of Music from 1987-2005, was a co-founder of the NEW YORK SCHOOL OF JAZZ, and is the author of the best-selling Hal Leonard book and video series, JOY OF IMPROV and BREAKTHROUGH TO IMPROV. Dave has three critically acclaimed solo CD's released on the JAZZHEADS label, the last of which, Turning It Loose!, was noiminated for a grammy. In early 2005, Dave moved to New York City to direct the DAVE FRANK SCHOOL OF JAZZ which offers private instruction for aspiring improvisers, as well as frequent concerts/workshops given by Dave. There is a $15 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
