NYC: MARK JANAS' SALON: "SIX DEGREES OF JEROME KERN"
Mark Janas' Salon is held at ETCETERA ETCETERA (352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141 - ) every Sunday evening through December 19th. The Salon is where singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members around a chosen theme. As always, the theme is only a suggestion; you may perform anything you like in any musical genre: Broadway, pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, etc. The optional theme for Sunday, December 12th is "Six Degrees of Jerome Kern", which means anything written by Jerome Kern OR the over 60 lyricists who wrote with him Oscar Hammerstein II, Dorothy Fields, Johnny Mercer, Otto Harbach, P.D. Wodehouse - just to name a few. Co-Host will be the Bistro Award winning Raissa Katona Bennett who will be returning to Feinstein's in "Can't Help Singing - The Music of Jerome Kern" on January 13th, 14th & 15th.
