NYC: ENCORE PRODUCTION OF PHIL BOND'S MY QUEER YOUTH
THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ) presents an encore production of Phil Geoffrey Bond's My Queer Youth, directed by Tony Award-winner, Michele Pawk. The solo performance piece, a humorous look at growing up queer amidst the cornfields of southern Indiana, will play the midtown venue for one more performance only, on Monday, November 15th at 7:00 pm. My Queer Youth features MAC, Bistro and Nightlife Award-winning performer Phil Geoffrey Bond. Bond and Pawk reunite, having collaborated last year on Bond's play, The Disney Diaries, also at The Beechman. My Queer Youth is a humorous look at growing up queer in Farmland, USA. From invading the showtune section at the public library to asking a boy out on a date, the solo performance piece is set amongst the rolling cornfields of Southern Indiana, following our hero and his awakening to not only sexuality, but manhood. There is a $18 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
