NYC: DAVID CAMPBELL AT FEINSTEIN'S IN NEW YORK TO CELEBRATE HIS NEW CD
FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 -/ ) presents the debut engagement of multi-platinum-selling vocalist, David Campbell from Sunday through Thursday, November 28th through December 2nd at 10:30 pm. For his show at the club Campbell will perform material from his new CD, "On Broadway" as well as selections of swing and 60s pop material. The special engagement marks Campbell's first New York performance since his appearance at Carnegie Hall in January 2009. All shows feature a four-piece band. Campbell has been featured on TV, starred in theatre and clubs, recorded four Top Ten albums, and sold out concert tours across his native Australia. When Campbell moved to New York his solo debut attracted major crowds. He eventually moved his show to the iconic room Rainbow & Stars, becoming the youngest performer ever to headline the venue. Stephen Sondheim cast him in the New York premiere of his musical Saturday Night and he went on to play leading roles in shows like Babes In Arms (at City Center Encores!), and South Pacific. In 2001 Campbell returned to Australia to play Johnny O'Keefe, to tour in the musical phenomenon Shout! There is a $30-$50 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
