2010 MAC and Bistro Award Winner Julie Reyburn returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for an encore performance of her acclaimed show, 'SUMMER NIGHT ... IN NOVEMBER", on Sunday November 28th at 7:00 pm. Featuring works by Cy Coleman, Harold Arlen, James Taylor, William Finn, Henry Mancini and more, "Summer Night" weaves an emotional journey with unique interpretation and classic arrangements. Joining her will be Music Director Mark Janas with Ritt Henn on Bass and Walter Usiatynski on Drums. The show is directed by Lennie Watts and produced by Jeff Hamblin. Julie is a 2010 Bistro and MAC Award recipient who has appeared in many of the top clubs in Manhattan. Her ability to connect to a lyric with unique interpretations has established her as one of New York's celebrated female vocalist. She is the first ever Nightlife Award recipient for Outstanding Female Vocalist in 2003 and again in 2005 as a finalist. To celebrate the December release of his first official studio album, "Haunted," on the Miranda Music label, Marcus Simeone returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for 2 more performances, on Saturdays, December 4th & 11th at 9:30 pm. Marcus has assembled a powerful set filled with emotional highs and humorous moments in his most risky show to date. With this new show, Marcus will bring highlights from his new album ("Haunted") which features many of today's contemporary songwriters accompanying him on their own songs, such as John Bucchino, Tracy Stark, Heather Sullivan, etc., backed by some of today's most acclaimed musicians. The album is scheduled to be released in December with a special event at the last show on Saturday, December 11th. This latest show will also celebrate a decade working in the clubs of New York since his auspicious debut at Don't Tell Mama. He has gone on to win acclaim on the national stage performing in theaters and clubs in Manhattan, Chicago, Florida and Palm Springs as well as performing at the Cabaret Conventions at Town Hall and Jazz At Lincoln Center. Along the way, he has also received nine MAC nominations and won three, as well as receiving the Bistro Award. This summer, he was invited to sing on a recording with Reba McIntyre in Nashville. Most recently, he was the grand prize winner in the 2010 Palm Beach Symphony Pop Star Competition (with 5,300 contestants entered) and will appear in an exclusive engagement with them.
