CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE CDs FOR THE HOLIDAYS PARTY SET FOR MONDAY DECEMBER 13th

CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE CDs FOR THE HOLIDAYS PARTYSET FOR MONDAY DECEMBER 13th
UPDATED FRIDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2010

If you told me 4 months ago that I would be living in an unheated basement apartment in Jackson Heights, Queens today recovering from an operation instead of a 10th floor apartment in the East Village of Manhattan where I lived for 4 years, I would have thought you were off your rocker. But here we are! (Note: the apartment is unheated officially, but there are enough heat ducts ceiling of my bedroom for the apartment above to keep me warm as I work and sleep).

It seems that 2010 has certainly been a time of change - if for the better remains to be seen. But we're having our annual CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE CDs FOR THE HOLIDAYS as usual - because that's the kind of folks cabaret people are!

I have a lot of work to do to get things set for this year's event at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) on Monday, December 13th at 7:00 pm. First I need some more "kick-start" money to cover initial expenses. So once again we're offering SPONSORSHIPS.

Sponsorship units are $100 and include 1 free ticket to the show - plus your name and website URL will be mentioned in every promotional mailing we do for the show (you may remain anonymous if you wish).. Just CLICK HERE - - to sign on via PayPal - or send me a check for the number of units you wish x $100 - Please remember, all checks should be made out simply to STU HAMSTRA and mailed to 676A Ninth Avenue #120, New York, NY 10036.

The CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE HOLIDAY PARTY
is sponsored in part by:
Miranda Music
Sue Matsuki

Marty Geiger
Dr. Garrett H. Bennett

Next we need performers. I am happy to report that long time cabaret/piano bar performer Michael McAssey, who recently relocated back to the NYC area has agreed to serve as Musical Director for the event. I've known and loved this talented guy since even before CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE first started publishing.

Also, my pals from previous holiday shows, Sue Matsuki and Edd Clark will be back in their holiday finery (they're off this weekend to THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444 ) to spread holiday cheer, by way of SUE & EDD'S FABULOUS CHRISTMAS show on Saturday, November 27th at 7:00 pm.

Suzanne Carrico, winner of the 2008 MAC Award for Best Female Debut for THE ART OF THE CAHN, Music from the Sammy Cahn Songbook, will take part in the show. Suzanne will celebrate the Christmas season & her new holiday CD, WHAT CHRISTMAS TIME MEANS TO ME, at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ), on Thursdays, December 2nd & 9th at 9:30 pm and December 16th & 23rd at 7:00 pm.

Marcus Simeone, currently in an extended run (remaining shows: Saturdays, December 4th & 11th at 9:30 pm) at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) to release his newest CD, "HAUNTED" on the Miranda Music label , will also take part in the show! He'll be performing two songs with a holiday theme.
Richard Holbrook, who is doing two special holiday shows ("Christmas Time is Here") on Sundays December 5th & 12th at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) will sing two songs from the show at the December 13th event as well.

We've asked a few others and are awaiting their confirmation, but we still have a few slots to fill. Here's our criteria: You should be a member of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE. You should have a CD available (need not be holiday themed) and you'll need to sing two holiday songs! It's a fund raiser, so folks with a regular following/popularity will be given preference.

Finally, we need to sell tickets - $15 each for members ($20 for non-members). Members may purchase up to 4 tickets at the member price - even for non-members. Tickets are on sale now - just CLICK HERE. I can't inpress on you enough the need to make this show a sell-out. I don't know how many more of these events I have in me, so I want every future one to be a success.
