TODAY IN M.W.:DORN & FREEMAN STAR IN "THE JUDY GARLAND DUETS" at THE METTE
Three Cat Media presents Chicago cabaret favorites Rob Dorn and Laura Freeman in "The Judy Garland Duets" at THE WILMETTE THEATRE (1122 Central Avenue, Wilmette, IL - 847-251-7424) on Monday, August 16th at 7:30 pm. They will pay tribute to one of the top entertainers of the twentieth century and her famous duets with such luminaries as Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Mickey Rooney and many others. Not only is this a retrospective of Garland's career, but a celebration of Garland's influence on performers. Songs include "A Couple of Swells," "For Me and My Gal," "Strike Up the Band" as well as rarely performed songs Judy duetted with Barbra Streisand and Mel Torme. Laura Freeman and Rob Dorn are regulars on the Chicago cabaret scene, both having performed at various venues around town, which include: The Drury Lane Watertower, The Gentry, Club 3160, Three Cat Thursdays, and The Chicago Cultural Center.
