TODAY IN M.W.: BECKIE MENZIE HAS NO STANDARDS AT THE SKOKIE - tonight only!
Chicago's acclaimed musical performer Beckie Menzie showcases her non-standard way of twisting some of your favorite popular songs at THE SKOKIE THEATRE (7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, IL - 847-677-7761 - ) in her show "Beckie Menzie Has No Standards" on Sunday, August 15th at 7:00 pm. Beckie will also feature some contemporary songs that she thinks should be standards, as well as a couple of her own originals. As one of cabarets' most in demand entertainers, Beckie made her Carnegie Hall debut in Michael Feinstein's "Now & Then" Series. She has also appeared at the New York's legendary Lincoln Center, Chicago's Auditorium Theatre and Park West, as well as at concert halls and art series across the country. Beckie is an award-winning songwriter and also works in the musical theatre department of Northwestern University. Tickets are $25.
