NYC: CHRISTINE EBERSOLE WITH "GARAGE BAND FANTASY"
Tony Award-winning actress/singer Christine Ebersole returns in concert to BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, June 21st at 7:00 pm. This evening is a continuation of the award-winning series, Broadway at Birdland. Jazz violin virtuoso Aaron Weinstein will be joining the show as special guest. In this outing, called "Garage Band Fantasy," Ms. Ebersole joins forces with musical director/pianist Bette Sussman to celebrate and re-live her favorite pop songs of all time, composed by female composers and/or covered by girl groups of the 60s, 70s and 80s. With an all-star band that includes Wilbur Bascomb on bass, Clint DeGannon on drums, Larry Saltzman on guitar and Tabitha Fair on background vocals, the evening will fully employ Ebersole's vast talents as an actor/singer. Songs to be included: "Up On The Roof," "Gonna Take A Miracle," "I Know You By Heart," Dolly Parton's "The Grass Is Blue," and Bonnie Raitt's "Home." Tickets are $40-$50 with a $10 food/drink minimum.
