L.A.AREA: MONA KING PERFORMING IN PALM SPRINGS
Singer, actress, dancer, voice teacher, and busy mother of three Mona King presents a night of laughter and reflection at BLAME IT ON MIDNIGHT (777 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA - 760-323-1200) on Saturday, June 26th, at 9:00 pm as she tells a story of family and keeping her sanity, through songs by Kander, Sondheim, Yeston, and Coleman. Coming from a strong musical background, family gatherings revolved around classical jam sessions and beautiful voices. No surprise that led into a career of performing. After graduating college in Los Angeles, with an emphasis in voice, she sang and danced professionally in Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, and Atlantic City. That led to Princess Cruises and Royal Viking Cruise Lines, headlining the shows and performing her own cabaret and classical concerts where big band, standards and show tunes filled her repertoire. New York became home for several years performing Off Broadway and Regionally before returning to Las Vegas in "Jubilee" at Bally's Grand where she met her husband before returning home to California and to her musical theater roots performing in numerous productions throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. There is a $10 cover plus a $10 minimum.
