NYC: KAREN MASON ONE NIGHT ONLY AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Broadway and cabaret diva Karen Mason returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for one night only on Saturday, May 15th at 7:30 pm. She will perform songs by Brian Lasser, Paul Rolnick and Lennon & McCartney, along with favorite Broadway showstoppers. She is fresh from a critically-acclaimed starring turn in Frank Wildhorn's new Broadway-bound show, "Wonderland". Karen is well-known for having originated the role of Tanya in Broadway's "Mamma Mia" and for having played Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard" both on Broadway and in Los Angeles more than 200 times to standing ovations. Her numerous MAC, Nightlife and Bistro awards reflect her widely recognized brilliance as both a singer and an actress, one with the rare ability to forge an intimate bond with each member of her audience. Her selections range from heartfelt to downright uproarious, making her show undeniably one of the best cabaret acts around. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
