LONDON: THE TWO PAULS AT THE CRAZY COQS

The Two Pauls, international vocalist Paul Rhodes and Canadian swing trumpeter and vocalist Paul Eros, will perform at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888)on Monbday, March 16th at 8:00 pm. Singing separately but with a few duets, Rhodes and Eros are both stars of the club's popular Open Mic Nights. Rhodes celebrates some of the most popular and iconic songs of Musical Theatre, with swinging showstoppers from some of the greatest crooners, such as What Kind Of Fool I Am, I Could Have Danced All Night and If I Was A Rich Man, backed by his own West End Quartet. Eros is thoroughly steeped in the hits of the swing era, performing blues, jazz standards and classics from the Great American Songbook. He has played and sung in bands ranging from jazz trios to 17-piece swing bands and often sits in at jam sessions and open mics across London. Now these two very different artists invite you for an evening of fun, as they perform classic numbers in exciting and contrasting styles.

LONDON: SEBASTIAN THOMAS SEEKS FULFILMENT IN SOLO MORMON MISSION

Following a critically acclaimed stint in Sasha Regan's brand new production of Whistle Down the Wind at the Union Theatre, Welsh boy, pharmacist, flight attendant and Mormon Sebastian Thomas will make his solo debut in 'Make Me a Mormon' at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Monday, March 16th at 8:30 pm. Thomas will present an evening of comedic songs as he traces his eclectic journey from the Welsh countryside through dispensing pills, flying the skies and becoming a (not so) devout Mormon. Up hills, down dales and across oceans, exploring musical cracks and crevices at every turn, Make Me a Mormon is a testament to the truth that wherever your journey starts, you can you never predict the path it will follow. Featuring a concoction of songs from West End and Broadway musicals including 'Baptize Me' from The Book of Mormon, 'Purpose' from Avenue Q, 'A Light in the Dark' from Next to Normal and a surprising 'Suddenly Seymour' from Little Shop of Horrors, Make Me a Mormon will also include a song from the Idina Menzel Broadway star vehicle If / Then alongside other contemporary fare from musical theatre writers including Kerrigan & Lowdermilk. Sebastian Thomas will be joined on stage in Make Me a Mormon by several up and coming young musical theatre performers including the gospel-voiced Sally Samad (Been on Broadway, SMASH-ing), ballet boy turned musical theatre ingenue Edward Crann (Whistle Down the Wind) and Donna Marsh (WAG the Musical) with other guests to be announced. Make Me a Mormon is produced by Neil Eckersley for Speckulation Entertainment and written by Andrew Thomas Jones with musical direction by Bryan Hodgson. Call for cover/minimum information.
