NYC: EMILY KRON: CANVAS AT THE MET

Emily Kron will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, January 24th at 7:00 pm. She will present a night of covers inspired by cherished tunes, spanning the genres and the ages. The show features additional performances by Casey Donahue, Ming Aldrich Gan, Charlie Hely, Erin Lindsey Krom, Catherine McCarthy, Karel Ruzicka Jr., and more. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE FRANK DIBUSSOLO GROUP - SONGS TO WRITE HOME ABOUT

The Frank DiBussolo Group presents 'Songs to Write Home About' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, January 24th at 9:30 pm. Since 1965, guitarist Frank DiBussolo has been gracing concert halls and studios alike with his technical proficiency and smooth, emotionally astute style across the fretboard throughout a fortuitous career that includes collaborations and appearances with such greats as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Dizzy Gillespie. The eight-time Grammy-nominated artist has also developed a wide reputation as an expert educator with a genuine interest in the up-and-comers of the jazz world. Thus the Frank DiBussolo Group was born. Hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania, the band's members share a likeminded vision for cutting across generation gaps, proving those gaps arbitrary in the process by turning the tried and true into freshness incarnate. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: FEEL THE WHIPLASH: SONGS FOR THROWING POPCORN & CHASING WHALES

Texas-Fried musical theatre writer, Benjamin Wright makes his New York City concert debut at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, January 24th at 8:00 pm with a wild night of country-fried rock-n-roll songs from his musicals such as MOBY DICK and LONE STAR, TEXAS: A POPCORN THROWING MUSICAL. He has invited some of the hottest singers on Broadway and beyond sing some of the hottest new songs in New York! There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its fourteenth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! NYC: 54 BELOW CELEBRATES THE RETURN OF CHRISTINE EBERSOLE

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) celebrates the return engagement of two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole with her show 'Big Noise From Winnetka' on Wednesdays through Saturdays, January 21st through 24th and 28th through 31st, all shows at 7:00 pm. Here 54 Below appearance follows a sold out 2 week run of her new show=. Christine's show returns for 8 performances, with musical director Bette Sussman (Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler) leading Christine's 4 piece band and vocalist Tabitha Fair. The concert features both classic and re-imagined Broadway hits, pop and jazz classics and anecdotes about growing up. Winner of two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (42nd Street and Grey Gardens), Christine co-stars on the hit TBS series Sullivan & Son (now in it's 3rd season). Christine has starred in film (Wolf of Wall Street), television (Royal Pains) and has performed concerts in theaters and concert halls across the country, from The Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall to The Pasadena and Boston Pops. This past fall, Christine appeared in the PBS Television special "Michael Feinstein: Live from The Rainbow Room." NYC: GEORGIA STITT: THE DANGER YEAR IN CONCERT AT 54 BELOW

Georgia Stitt presents The Danger Year In Concert at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, January 24th at 9:30 pm. Presenting the show in concert form, composer/ lyricist Georgia Stitt will be joined by Broadway powerhouse performers Kate Baldwin, Derrick Baskin, Ta'Rea Campbell, Jeremy Jordan, Caitlin Kinnunen, Zak Resnick, Elena Shaddow, Jessica Vosk, EJ Zimmerman, and a few more special guests still to be announced. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, this score is being presented publicly in New York City for the first time after a successful West End debut last fall at London's Garrick Theatre. Stitt serves as pianist and music director for a band that includes Randy Landau on bass, Simon Kafka on guitar, Shannon Ford on drums, Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello and Victoria Paterson on violin. There is a $30-$65 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
