NYC: THIS WEEK AT THE SALON: JUST GO TO THE MOVIES

SALON - that unique, Multiple Award Winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas continues at ETCETERA ETCETERA (352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141) and takes place on Sundays from 7:00 to 10:30 pm (sign-up begins at 6:15 pm). The optional theme for the show on Sunday, January 18th will is "Just Go To The Movies" Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. Co-Hosts will be MAC & Bistro Award Winner Raissa Katona Bennett & Kenneth Gartman. Salon is an ongoing open entertainment event in which singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members. There is a $10 cash cover collected at the door and a $15 food/drink minimum (cash or credit) per person.

NYC: MICHELE BAUTIER AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Michele Bautier will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Sunday, January 18th at 7:00 pm. Michele Bautier received critical acclaim and was nominated for awards by both the Outer Critics' Circle and the New York Drama Desk for her first leading role in the Broadway musical revue "Stardust." She has been the subject of feature stories and interviews on NBC Television, the ABC Television news, the PBS Television network, PBS Radio, and WOR Radio and TV. She has been part of the Lyrics & Lyricists concert series at New York City's Tisch Center for the Arts. A featured performer on the Queen Elizabeth 2, she has appeared along with such personalities as Andr• Previn, and the Academy of St. Martin-of-the-Fields. Michele has been received by audiences with unprecedented enthusiasm in New York's finest supperclubs (such as Sardi's), Carnegie Hall, and on Broadway. She has also performed on the European continent in Paris, as well as Belgium and the United Kingdom. Annually, Ms. Bautier appears at the Celebration of the Arts Jazz Festival in Delaware Water Gap, PA, which features world-renowned talents like Phil Woods and Bob Dorough. NYC: BRACY AND JONES PERFORM TOGETHER, AT LAST!

MARY O'S (32 Avenue A, NYC - 212-505-5610) presents Cedric Jones and Erika Bracy in their first cabaret performance together, on Sunday, January 18th, Thursday, January 22nd and Sunday, January 25th - all shows at 8:00 pm. The show 'Erika & Ceddy: At Last!' will feature duet and solo performances of material spanning generations and styles. The show will also feature well known pianist Jason Laney. Erika Bracy is an actor, singer and activist. She has worked as the Director of Green Initiatives/Charity Liaison at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Past stage performances include T.S. Elliot's Murder in the Cathedral and The Manhattan Project. Cedric Jones is an actor, singer and writer. He most recently performed at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre with Lisa Hancock in C'mon Get Happy, a benefit for Braking AIDS Ride and Housing Works. His book, We Whisper and Other Poems is now available online and at select bookstores. There is a $10 cover.

NYC: BAND GEEKS IN CONCERT AT 54 BELOW

Get ready to embrace your inner geek when Band Geeks marches into 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Sunday, January 18th with shows at 7:00 & 9:30 pm with its crew of high school misfits. With his beloved marching band at risk of being cancelled, team captain Elliot is fighting to save the Cuyahoga High Marching Beavers by uniting the team ... and maybe getting the girl along the way. Featuring a score by Mark Allen, Gaby Alter and Tommy Newman and a book by Gordon Greenberg and Newman, this heartwarming underdog story has been seen at NAMT, Goodspeed, and around the country.
