La Tanya Hall performs at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Friday & Saturday, December 5th & 6th at 8:00 pm. Vocalist La Tanya Hall is poised to take her place as one of the foremost jazz vocalists in the world today. Her ability to reinvent the Great American Songbook is amassing glorious reviews from around the globe. Hall's debut recording 'It's About Time' (Bridge Records 2008), , has been heralded as "an impressive debut from one of jazz's brightest stars," [Popjournalism.com/February 2009]. Her versatility in a variety of musical genres has allowed her to collaborate with some of music's most celebrated artists, including Diana Ross, Bobby McFerrin, Harry Belafonte, Michael McDonald, Burt Bacharach, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, Rob Thomas, and Patti Labelle. NYC: LINA ORFANOS & HER JAZZ QUARTET AT THE MET

Lyric soprano Lina Orfanos & her Jazz Quartet will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, December 6th at 7:00 pm. Orfanos was born in New York City and grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. She is an international star who sings in various languages: English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish. She sings in classical, contemporary and jazz styles. In September 2013, Lina released her first Spanish CD - Ay Amor. She has two critically acclaimed Greek recordings Songs for Romantics and Realists and Enchanted Night. She has toured throughout the United States and Greece, and has performed in Israel and Spain. Her shows range from tributes to the Broadway songbook, Ella Fitzgerald, and the legendary Greek composers like Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis. In Greece, Lina is a regular guest star with the orchestra of Mikis Theodorakis. Recently, composer Dimitris Maramis created Spanish songs specifically with her voice in mind. The song cycle Ay Amor bridges the Mediterranean with Latin America and highlights Lina's lyricism, passion and musicality. NYC: 54 BELOW CELEBRATES FRANK WILDHORN

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will present a week in celebration of Frank Wildhorn, the acclaimed composer of Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War, Dracula, Bonnie & Clyde, Wonderland, and Victor/Victoria. Shows are scheduled for Tuesday & Wednesday, December 2nd & 3rd at 7:00 pm and Friday & Saturday, December 5th & 6th with performances at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. Over the past two decades, Frank Wildhorn has given the world timeless stories and countless classics set to soaring scores including eight Broadway shows, twenty original international shows, and almost 100 million records sold of his songs. Frank is one of this generation's most important songwriters. It will be a week of Broadway's best singers, a reunion of one of Frank's Broadway shows, and songs from a catalog that goes from Whitney Houston to Julie Andrews, from Hootie and the Blowfish to Johnny Mathis, and from Sammy Davis, Jr. to The Moody Blues. We know you're cold, stressed out and broke, so make your way out to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, December 6th at 11:30 pm, where things heat up with glasses of spiked eggnog and a handful of bad-ass Broadway belters, from the team who brought you the sold-out sensation Bitching and Belting: An Evening with Michael Gioia and Friends. Gioia to the World promises to be an unforgettable night where no complaint is too small and no note is too high - holiday style. Join Michael Gioia (who hosted Playbill's Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know LIVE! in January) and his Broadway faves for a set list of the sassiest songs, most dangerous duets and, of course, some holiday beer (err... cheer). The cold never bothered us anyway. Cast includes: Michael Gioia, Ariana Groover, Ariana DeBose, Lauren Renahan, Karen Agatep, Robin De Jesus, Tommy Bracco, Adam Kaplan, Tommy McDowell, Lilli Cooper, Julia Mattison and Jennifer Dilzell. NYC: STEVE TYRELL AT THE CAFE CARLYLE THROUGH DECEMBER 31st

Steve Tyrell returns for this annual Holiday season performances at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesdays through Saturdays, November 25th through December 31st (no show December 25th) at 8:45 pm with additional late shows on Friday & Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Grammy Award-winning vocalist Steve Tyrell is truly a renaissance man. In over four decades in the music business, he has achieved great success as an artist, producer, songwriter, music supervisor, and performer. In 2005, after the passing of the legendary Bobby Short, Steve was asked by New York City's Cafe Carlyle to take over their revered Holiday Season of November and December, which Mr. Short had not missed for 36 years. In 2013 Tyrell's contract was extended through his 11th season, starting a new Carlyle legacy that now also includes performances in May.
