NYC: ERIC MICHAEL GILLETT: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD

Eric Michael Gillett brings to life the Wit and Wisdom of Noel Coward in his new show at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances scheduled for Friday & Saturday, October 10th & 11th; Mondays, October 20th & 27th, and November 3rd - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Rick Jensen with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The epitome of wit and sophistication, Sir Noel Coward's storied career spanned more than half a century. In Man About Town, award-winning cabaret artist Eric Michael Gillett focuses on the music and lyrics of the man known as the Master. After acclaimed evenings dedicated to Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Craig Carnelia, Lorenz Hart, and his revue in development, The Amanda McBroom Project, Man About Town allows Eric Michael to focus an entire evening on the wit and wisdom of one of the twentieth century's most admired and brilliant artists. From "What's Going to Happen to the Tots," "Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington" and "Uncle Harry" to "Come the Wild, Wild Weather" and "London Pride," Man About Town explores the Noel Coward musical legacy in all of its considerable glory. Eric Michael Gillett is known as a director, an actor, a singer, and a teacher. He is the recipient of both the MAC Award for Outstanding Direction and the Dick Gallagher Award, bestowed by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, for his unique contributions to the art of cabaret. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: JAY ROGERS & AARON MORISHITA: "DUETS: TUNES & SNAPPY PATTER"

Newlyweds Jay Rogers and Aaron Morishita are happy to debut their musical entertainment, "Duets: tunes & snappy patter" at the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) for one night only on Monday, November 3rd at 7:00 pm. Appearing with Bobby Peaco at the piano, Jay and Aaron will present a rousing selection of songs that were made famous by other people who sang together. Included are tributes to some of the boys' favorite duos - from The Girls of the Golden West (Millie and Dolly) to Steve and Eydie to The Peanuts (the twin teeny tiny singers who call Mothra) - as well some of the most infamous theater duets of all time. Join MAC- and Bistro Award winners Jay Rogers and Aaron Morishita as they see how far they can stretch the limits of appropriateness. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: LUCK IS A LADY - TONIGHT AT THE MET

THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) and Joseph Macchia presents "Luck Be a Lady" on Monday, November 3rd at 9:30 pm. The evening will showcase 5 fabulous ladies from Broadway. Each lady will perform their own mini set. A portion of the door will be donated to Cycle For The Cause Team Eagle. Performing will be Debra Walton (Chicago), Tony Award Nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Chicago, and more), Michelle Dowdy, Jennifer Sanchez, and Liz Acosta. Tracy Stark musical directs the evening. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: PATTI LUPONE - FAR AWAY PLACES PART TWO 

Two-time Tony Award winner and 54 Below favorite Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday through Thursday, November 3rd through 6th; Saturday, November 8th; Monday through Saturday, November 10th through 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm; There is an additional show added on Saturday, November 15th at 9:30 pm. She will present 'Part Two of Far Away Places', the show which she premiered to critical acclaim when 54 Below opened in June 2012. In this continuation of the show (which will include a few encores from the landmark Part One) she further explores her wanderlust, performing songs by an eclectic group of songwriters including Irving Caesar, Billy Joel, David Yazbek, Johnny Mercer and Kris Kristofferson. There is an $85-$160 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: IF IT ONLY EVEN RUNS A MINUTE: 13th EDITION

Sometimes Broadway musicals run forever, like Cats or Les Miserables. But sometimes, Broadway musicals run for only a minute, like Merrily We Roll Along, High Fidelity, or Via Galactica. This is their story. If It Only Even Runs A Minute returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday, November 3rd at 9:30 pm. It is the Bistro Award-winning concert series celebrating rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from underappreciated musicals. Created and hosted by 54 Below Director of Programming Jennifer Ashley Tepper and Book of Mormon's Kevin Michael Murphy, with musical direction by Joshua Zecher-Ross, each concert includes performances and stories from original cast members and writers of selected featured shows, as well as new interpretations. The concert will feature musical selections and stories from All Shook Up, American Passion, Anna Karenina, Blood Red Roses, Comedy, Jimmy, Laughing Room Only, Saved, The Shoestring Revue, Sunny River, and more. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
