CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: JACKY TERRASSON QUARTET AT DIZZY'S
The Jacky Terrasson Quartet will appear at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Thursday through Sunday, November 7th through 10th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Pianist Jacky Terrasson has been a unique force in the jazz world since winning the Thelonious Monk Piano Competition in 1993. Within a year, he signed to Blue Note, toured with Betty Carter, and was named one of the 30 artists most likely to change American culture in the next 30 years by the New York Times magazine. He has since worked with greats such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, and Ry Cooder, in addition to building a reputation for creating some of the best jazz trios around. One of the most widely travelled jazz pianists, Jacky Terrasson is coming to Dizzy's to make you feel good. The trio will be joined by rising star vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant on Sunday, November 10th.
