CABARET TONIGHT IN MARYLAND: EMMANUEL TRIFILIO TANGO TRIO AT BETHESDA BLUES
The Emmanuel Trifilio Tango Trio will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Wednesday, November 6th at 7:30 pm. Emmanuel Trifilio, bandoneon, was born in la Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he studied bandoneon, eventually joining the Los Immigrantes. After winning the annual tango orchestra contest in Buenos Aires, he was invited to tour Chile with Maestro Tato Finocci. He performed for several years at the legendary Cafe Tortoni in Buenos Aires. In 2009 he came to the United States to perform in the Helen Hayes award-winning show, "Mummy in the Closet" at GALA Hispanic Theatre. After several extended residencies in Europe, he returned to the USA, where he has performed as soloist with the Octavio Brunetti Orchestra, QuinTango, the National Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Pan-American Symphony. Maestro Trifilio can be heard with French cellist Gautier Capu•on on the soundtrack of the recently released film Le Petit Nuage. He is currently collaborating on a recording project with QuinTango. to be released in 2013. There is a $15 cover.
