DC TONIGHT: CLASSIC VOCALESE: UPTOWN VOCAL JAZZ QUARTET AT GERMANO'S
Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet (UVJQ) will perform at CABARET AT GERMANO'S (300 South High Street, Baltimore, MD - 410-752-4515) on Saturday, May 4th at 7:30 pm. UVJQ puts its sublime signature on an engaging vocal jazz genre and breathes new life into the tradition of the great harmonizing vocal groups with its new cool: a repertoire of swinging, tightly harmonized originals and a sound that is quickly becoming a vocalese classic. Members of the group are Ginny Carr (vocal alto), Andre Enceneat (bass vocal), Holly Shockey (soprano vocal), Robert McBride (tenor vocal), Frank Russo (drums), Alan Blackman (piano) and Max Murray (bass).
