Young and upcoming powerhouse vocalist Jennie Harney presents a night of unforgetable music at THE METRO-POLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, May 18th at 9:30 pm. Honoring some of the vocalists that came before her, from Sarah Vaughn to Chaka Khan, and others, Jennie Harney performs with vocal agility and sheer power. Most recently, Jennie received rave reviews for her Audelco Award Nominated Lead role in the Off Broadway Hit "Pearl" in which she plays the title role, Pearl Bailey. In the first national tour of the Broadway Hit "Motown" Jennie wowed audiences across the country in her portrayal of legendary vocalist Gladys Knight, Martha Reeves, and others. A New York native Jennie Harney has won BET's Apollo Live II competition, been selected for the Broadway's Rising Stars Concert, and has been featured on many recording albums. Most recently Jennie has taken her gifts to the stages of B.B. Kings, 54 Below, and the Legendary Apollo Theater. Now Jennie is excited to bring her talents downtown to the Metropolitan Room. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
