NYC: GONE TOO SOON, NOW AND FOREVER AN EVENING OF HOWARD ASHMAN
Joseph Macchia brings you the next installment of Gone Too Soon, "Now and Forever an evening of Howard Ashman" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00 pm. Howard Ashman's lyrics inspired generations to believe in magic with shows and films such as Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and the first animated film to receive an Academy Award Best Picture nomination, Beauty and the Beast. 2016 will mark 25 years since Howard died of HIV related complications at the age of 40. To commemorate the anniversary, Joseph Macchia and Adam B. Shapiro will present this tribute to Howard's life and work as the first 2016 installment of the Metropolitan Room's GONE TOO SOON series. The show is hosted by Alan Shapiro with musical direction by Yasuhiko Fukuoka. There is a $24 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
