LONDON: INSTANT SUNSHINE AT THE CRAZY COQS
Best known for their many performances on BBC radio, Instant Sunshine featuring David Barlow on guitar, Alan Maryon Davis, Peter Christie on vocals and Tom Barlow on double bass, make their debut at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL(20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Monday, January 18th at 8:00 pm. With unique and original humorous songs, laden with self-parody, have delighted audiences at home and abroad for decades. They play regularly at festivals and theatres throughout the United Kingdom and on their travels round the world. They have performed for many years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and returned there this year. For `many years they played weekly at a popular restaurant in London's Mayfair. Over a hundred Instant Sunshine songs are recorded on CD including 3 albums with EMI, and also on BBC recordings. The BBC has broadcast several series of Instant Sunshine and selections of these are repeated regularly. They have written and performed signature tunes for a variety of radio and television programmes and one Christmas BBC 2 released an hour-long programme about Instant Sunshine entitled "Roads to Stardom" Instant Sunshine enjoy the intimate venues but have had audiences in the Albert Hall singing along in Christmas concerts and a packed house at Chichester Cathedral shouting for more. They have an exciting year ahead with concerts planned for Festivals and Theatres and also they will be releasing a brand new album early in 2016.
