NYC: SALON RESUMES JULY 12TH WITH "I LOVE NEW YORK"
SALON - that unique, Multiple Award Winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas will return to ETCETERA ETCETERA (352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141 - ) on Sunday, July 12th from 7:00 pm -10:30 pm. (Sign-Up Begins at 6:15 pm). The Theme on the 12th is "I Love New York". Co-Hosts: Joseph Macchia & the vocal group FORTE (Thomas Dieter, Johnny Hagar, Skie Ocasio & Michael Osso) In the Salon Spotlight: Karen Oberlin. Salon will then continue every Sunday through the summer. Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. Salon is produced by Tanya Moberly. There is a $10 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. No reservations are taken.

PALM SPRINGS, CA: "GIA LOVES HOAGY" - A HOAGY CARMICHAEL TRIBUTE
Singer and actor Gia Mora will sing the songs of Hoagy Carmichael on Sunday, July 12th at 2:00 pm as part of the Sundays In Summer Series presented by Les Michaels at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731). Ms. Mora's show is called "Gia Loves Hoagy" and will have Charlie Barnett as her accompanist. A Colorado native, who now resides in Los Angeles, Gia Mora is a busy guest star on TV iseries and commercials as well in films. A singer with a four-octave range, she will take on the works of American composer Hoagy Carmichael, whose hits songs have become some of music's greatest standards include Georgia On My Mind, Heart And Soul, The Nearness Of You, and Stardust, to name just a few. Gia's previous show in the Sundays In Summer Series was in 2013 with the audience anxiously awaiting her return. There is an $11 cash cover sold only at the box office before the show.
